Advanced Comfort Measures workshop

In Person @ The Aux / Evanston, IL

Your ticket covers two people, so bring your birth partner — spouse, partner, friend, mom, sister, whoever is going to be in the room with you on your birth day.

Bring three things

  • A water bottle. We'll be moving for four hours, and there's water on site to refill.
  • Snacks. Something to keep you going mid-afternoon. Eat lunch before you arrive.
  • Comfy clothes. Whatever you'd stretch in. You'll be on the floor, on a birth ball, and leaning on your partner. Layers are smart.

What we'll actually do

This isn't a lecture. For four hours we practice — counter-pressure that reaches the places that hurt, positions that help baby rotate and labor keep moving, simple tools you already have at home, and the steady presence that makes a partner useful instead of anxious.

You'll leave with a short sequence you both know by heart. That's the whole point: when labor gets intense, nobody wants to think. Your hands should already know.

A few practical notes

  • Doors open at 12:45 if you'd like to settle in.
  • Street parking is available in the neighborhood — give yourself a few extra minutes on a Saturday afternoon.
  • Any stage of pregnancy is welcome.

We'll send a note on Friday and a short one Saturday morning before we start.
